Today I am sharing picks of “Solstice Stones” by Crystal Knockout. This was my first time trying out this brand, and I am happy to report that this is a beautiful polish with an excellent formula. While this may be my first polish from Crystal Knockout, it certainly will not be my last!
“Solstice Stones” was originally released in the March 2020 Polish Pickup and is making a comeback this July on the Crystal Knockout site!
“Solstice Stones” features a dusty lavender base that is packed full of red/gold aurora shimmers, silver/platinum flakes, and a slight scattering of micro holo. The holo is very understated but it does add a nice subtle something extra! Due to the shimmer, this looks different depending on the lighting. While this polish looks cool-toned in the bottle, I think it pulls warmer on my skin tone. I am wearing it here in 3 thin coats, although I think I probably could have left it at 2 coats.
When I saw this in the bottle I thought it might be a little chunky on the nails, but that was not the case. The formula is smooth and easy to work with, and everything lays down nice and flat and dries down with no texture. The end result feels delicate and elegant.
I could not be happier with this polish! I am a total sucker for this tone of purple, and this polish is unlike any other in my collection. If you picked this one up during March Polish Pickup get this on your nails STAT – you will not be disappointed. If you missed this the first time around I highly recommend visiting the Crystal Knockout site when it comes back for sale in July!
