Generally speaking, Valentine’s Day is not one of my favorite holidays. It is, however, one of my favorite times of the year for nail polishes and nail art! In the 2 weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day, I did 3 different nail art looks which I plan on sharing with you all tomorrow. Today though, I wanted to talk with y’all about the polishes that I picked up from Valentine’s Day themed collections that came out for 2020!

I woke up on February 1st, tallied up how much I spent on polish in January, and promptly declared February to be a no-buy month. Everything I’m sharing with you here was released and purchased in January – thank goodness since I really love them all and am very happy to have added them to my collection. No polish regrets here!!

The first polish I have to share with you today is the only one I have managed to get on my nails so far. This little cutie is from NCLA and is called Heart Attack. I wore this one over a French mani and it was the most complimented nail look I wore so far this month. (More on that tomorrow!) This polish is jam-packed full of adorable little red and pink hearts. The swatch next to the bottle in the pic below is 2 coats applied and I did not need to do any fishing to get the hearts out of the bottle. This polish is so sweet when applied as a topper, or for doing glitter placement.

Next up is a polish duo released by Blush Lacquers. The Lovers Duo was inspired by Wuthering Heights. The shade names are “Whatever Our Souls Are Made Of” and “I Struggled Only For You”. Both of these polishes are stunning and have holographic elements in them that I just could not really capture in my photo. I am excited to get these babies on my nails! This time of year can feel like we’re drowning in a sea of pinks and reds, so I really appreciate that we got something different from Blush.

The final Valentine’s Day-themed collection I shopped this year was from Glam Polish. They did a Valentines/Anti-Valentines collection themed around songs. I picked up 5 polishes from this collection and received a 6th “gift with purchase” exclusive polish. This was my first purchase from Glam Polish and I was really impressed by how quickly my order was processed and shipped out. I have not worn any of these polishes yet, but I did make swatch sticks for them and I am happy to report that the formula on all of these polishes seems really good! I purchased “Don’t Speak”, “No Scrubs”, “Kiss From A Rose”, “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” and “Bad Romance”. All great songs and beautiful polishes! The limited-edition gift with purchase shade is “Fallin'”

Did you pick up any of these polishes this year? Or, did you shop from any Valentine themed polish collections? I’d love to hear what you’re wearing on your nails during this month of love, so leave a comment to let me know!
