Weekly Card Reading, April 3 – 9, 2017

Before this weekly card reading, I spend time in meditation to “tune in” to the universal energy patterns which affect us all. This week, I called upon the Fairies to deliver messages to help us all live in alignment with our highest good, and for the highest good of the planet. This week’s reading was done using Doreen Virtue’s Magical Messages From The Fairies Oracle Cards.

The overall message that the Fairies have for us this week is to have faith that the situation is improving, and we need to take care of ourselves and stay positive. Things are going to go your way in the end, if you are able to do so. As much as possible this week, the Fairies ask that you spend time in nature, to uplift and nurture your body, mind, and soul.

Magical Messages From the Fairies: Everything's Okay, Healing, Healed, Healer, Flower Power

Monday/Tuesday: Everything’s Okay – “Don’t worry. It’s all working out in a beautiful way.” This week, the Fairies want to remind you to keep the faith because everything is going to work out for you – it just might take a little time. No need to get anxious or frustrated if things aren’t moving along as quickly as you’d like. This is Divine timing at work, as Spirit works behind the scenes on your behalf.

Wednesday/Thursday: Healing, Healed, Healer – “Healing energy surrounds you and this situation.” We may experience tensions in our relationships with others mid week. Stay calm and trust that the magical, healing energies of the Fairies are all around you. When you feel your emotional triggers being activated, remember that you can tap into this Fairy energy through your breath. Try taking three slow, deep breaths – inhaling the blue-green healing light of the fairy energy, and exhaling anger, stress, resentment, and guilt. Know that healing is happening right now, and that the situation will improve.

Friday/Saturday/Sunday: Flower Power – “Spend time with flowers and flower essences to increase your personal healing power.” This weekend, the Fairies ask that you make time to enjoy all the Spring flowers they have been tending for you. Time with the flowers builds your energy reserves up, and revitalizes your senses. Spend time outdoors in the garden, visit a park where the wild flowers are in bloom, or make a trip to a floral greenhouse. You can also harness the healing floral energies by bringing cut flowers into your home, or by spraying your aura and personal space with a floral essence or essential oil to bring the restorative power of the flower into your being.

Pineapple Sage, the Fairies, and You!

Pineapple Sage is one of my favorite plants to have in the garden. It is absolutely stunning when in bloom with its showy, bright red flowers. Pineapple sage attracts butterflies, bees, hummingbirds, as well as the delightful and endearing fairies who make their homes wherever this plant is found.

The Fairies of the Pineapple Sage are charming and fun loving. Their high pitched voices are lyrical and melodious. They possess personalities that are as sweet as the scent of the plant they are sworn to protect, and their tiny wings resemble in miniature the wing patterns of all the varied butterflies who are drawn to this plant. These earth bound celestial beings are avid adventurers and travelers, frequently hitching a ride on the backs of the hummingbirds that are attracted to the bright red flowers of the Pineapple Sage. Together, bird and fairy dart through the garden, small daredevils enjoying the thrill of being alive! These fairies are most active on bright, sunny days as they adore dancing in the sunlight.

Pineapple Sage Fairies

Fairies dance among the Pineapple Sage, enjoying the afternoon sun.

These fairies love to help you orchestrate change in your life. Because of their adventurous spirit they are not afraid to try new things and visit new and exciting places. They thrive in the excitement of stepping into the unknown, and can inspire you to do the same. Working with this plant, and the fairies who tend to it can be extremely empowering.

Pineapple Sage has a feminine energy that you can use to tap into unconditional love and compassion. Pineapple Sage resonates with the energy of happiness, harmony, and hospitality – especially in the home. It also aids in communication to assist you with maintaining harmonious relationships. With its striking red flowers, and aromatic leaves they are beautiful as a cut flower you can use to bring its energy into your home.

This plant is wonderful to meditate with as it helps you connect through both your root and heart chakra, up into the heavens and with the Divine. Work with this plant and its Fairies to enhance your abundance and prosperity so you can be fully supported as you fulfill your life purpose. Doing so can aid you in gaining clarity into your finances and your attitudes towards money and receiving. They can help you release your prosperity blocks and develop your intuition in the areas of business and finance.

How to use Pineapple Sage:

There are many different ways to use Pineapple Sage. Here in San Francisco Bay Area it is fairly easy to grow and blooms most of the year. Pineapple Sage prefers full sun and moist, well drained soil. It is a beautiful addition to any garden, and I consider it a “must have” for a fairy garden, if your climate can support it. As with any plant, please be sure you have correctly identified it before consuming.

In The Kitchen:

Clip fresh Pineapple Sage leaves for herbal tea. You can also use them muddled in cocktails for a fresh and fruity alternative to mint. Pineapple Sage can also be used as an alternative to Culinary Sage giving your recipe a light, somewhat floral sweetness. The bright red flowers are also edible and make a beautiful addition to salads, fruit plates, and frosted baked goods.

In the Home:

Use in floral arrangements to attract the energy of the Pineapple Sage into your space. The energy of this plant promotes a joyful and harmonious home, supports manifestation, and promotes prosperity and abundance. Cut Pineapple Sage will also attract its Fairies into your space!

You can also make or purchase Pineapple Sage Flower Essence. You can add the essence to your bathwater or spray from a mister bottle to bring the vibrational energy of the flower into your aura.

For Meditation:

If you are able, it is a genuinely magical experience to meditate outdoors, surrounded by Pineapple Sage and the many fairies that will always be surrounding it. If that is not practical for you, there are many other ways to use this plant during meditation. I like to hold a handful of crushed leaves and inhale the plant magic. You can also simply hold a sprig of it, or bring a vase of cut leaves and flowers into your meditation space. You can also spray Flower Essence to cleanse your space prior to your meditation practice.  As you meditate, ask the Fairies of the Pineapple Sage to share guidance with you, and/or  hold the intention to bring into yourself the desired energetic assistance of the plant. You can also use the affirmations shared below, or make up your own.

Tune into the positive energy of Pineapple Sage and the Fairies, and know these things to be true for yourself.

  • I have everything I need to attract prosperity.
  • I am abundance and abundance is mine.
  • I easily attract all the money I need, and have plenty left to share.

Weekly Card Reading March 27 – April 2, 2017

Each week before choosing cards for the weekly reading I tune into the universal energies that affect us all. Here in Northern California, Spring is in full bloom and my yard is an untamed sea of wild flowers. This is a wonderful time of year to work with the Fairies as they are quite active, tending to all the plants and flowers that are sharing their beauty with us. This week, I tuned into this active Fairy energy and used Fairy Tarot Cards for this reading.

Fairy Tarot Cards Weekly Reading March 27-April 2

Monday/Tuesday: Nine of Autumn – The things you have been putting your thoughts and energy towards are coming together and you are starting to reap the rewards of your efforts. The fairies want to make sure you know that you are deserving of success and abundance! Allow yourself to pause for a moment to savor the rewards that are beginning to come. All of us deserve to enjoy the benefits that come from our hard work – including you! Give yourself a little treat to celebrate your success and to keep you motivated to continue moving forward. Enjoy this moment and express the gratitude that is in your heart for all the many blessings in your life. Let the gratitude flow out freely, and watch as that energy returns to you in the form of even more abundance!

Wednesday/Thursday: Prince of Autumn – Now that you’ve taken the time to celebrate your achievements to date, it’s time to get back to work! The Fairies have sent you the Prince of Autumn – channel his strong, grounded energy to help you construct a plan of action you can use to stay focused moving forward. The Prince of Autumn can help you keep track of all the little details that need to be factored into your plans. Don’t rush through this planning process – ground yourself, take your time, think through all your options as you develop your plan, complete with contingencies, just in case! Remember – the Prince of Autumn likes to be prepared! He is also a reminder to follow through on your obligations, and to care for others with kindness and respect, and to do all of this with joy and laughter in your heart.

Friday/Saturday/Sunday: Two of Winter – It’s now time to move beyond the planning phase and make a choice to move forward. Too often, we allow ourselves to be held back by our own indecision. This weekend, be courageous enough to make the choices that you want to make, instead of the choices you think others want you to make. It is time to make a decision that propels you forward, and it’s important to choose what your heart truly desires. Don’t be afraid of disappointing others – remember that only YOU get to decide what is best for you!

Be Yourself – Encouragement From the Fairies to Let Your Light Shine

Do you ever feel like just being yourself isn’t good enough? Maybe you feel unloved, or like you need hide who you truly are to people in order for them to accept you. This is not the path to happiness, and the fairies want you to know that nothing could be further from the truth. You are a unique and wonderful spirit whose light, love and message are greatly needed in the world. They want you to know that you are as rare, beautiful, and special as the unicorn. The fairies encourage you to embrace all the things that make you feel as though you are weird or different, and shine your light brightly for all to see. Do so with the confidence that the divinity of the Creator lies within you, waiting to be expressed.

Be Yourself

“This situation calls for you to be your authentic self, which is the basis for your personal power.”

The fairies are earthbound nature angels. Their purpose is to protect the natural environment and to come to the aid of their human friends, which is anyone who makes an effort to treat the planet with respect.  If you find it difficult to share your true self with the world, ask the fairies to provide you with the encouragement that you need. They can help you to trust that the real you IS loveable and that as you more freely express yourself, like-minded people who resonate with you will naturally be drawn into your life.

I have found that the fairies who protect and care for mint plants are wonderful cheerleaders to have on your side to boost your confidence in expressing your true and authentic self. These fairies set up their homes near mint in the garden, and are also attracted to its scent. You can connect with these fairies by growing mint in your garden or back patio. You can also attract them by calling for them while drinking mint tea, or holding and smelling sprigs of fresh mint leaves. These fairies can be extremely shy at first, but they are excellent judges of character and if they judge you to be a friend of Mother Earth they will slowly warm up to you; many of them becoming quite chatty over time. As you meditate with and speak to the fairies, they will answer you back through your thoughts and feelings, strategically placed signs, or you may even hear their high pitched voices! These fairies are also attracted to Amethyst so wearing Amethyst jewelry or placing a small piece of it underneath the leaves of your mint plant can aid you in building trust with them. Amethyst fades in sunlight so shield it by placing in in a spot which is shaded by the plant. Because crystals in the garden are sometimes known to wander away I do not recommend using stones that are expensive or hold sentimental value to you for outdoor garden use. It is very possible that the fairies will consider a garden crystal as an offering to them, especially when you are asking them for assistance, so be sure any stone placed outdoors is one you would gladly and freely share with any elemental being who may encounter it.

The beautiful “Be Yourself” card pictured above is from the Magical Messages From The Fairies Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue. I love the pure and loving energy of this card with its Unicorn imagery. Light radiates out from the tip of the Unicorn’s horn, and emanates from the fairy as encouragement for us to embrace our true selves and let our radiant and unique light shine brightly for all to see!

Fairies of the Yellow Woodsorrel

The fairies of the yellow woodsorrel are a mischievous and fun loving bunch. They love dancing in the dappled sunlight that filters through the shamrock leaves. The flowers and leaves of the yellow woodsorrel close up at night when their fairies rest nestled in the flowers with the petals wrapped tightly around them like warm, snug blankets. During the day though, the flowers are open and if you are quiet and living in peace with the Earth you can hear their high pitched fairy chatter as they celebrate nature with the ringing of these floral bells.

Fairies of the Yellow Woodsorrel

It is very difficult to relay eye witness accounts as those who have interaction with the Fairies of the Yellow Woodsorrel frequently can only describe their interactions with them as indescribable or intoxicating. Sightings are most common in the morning when the fairies are out drinking their brew – a lemony flavored mixture of the floral nectar mixed with the morning dew. Humans can make a similar beverage from this plant by using the fresh or dried leaves and flowers plus spring water to make a tea, which when chilled is a bit like a lemonless lemonade. (This plant should only be consumed in moderation as it is high in oxalic acid and potassium oxalate and should not be used at all by people with gout, rheumatoid arthritis, kidney stones or kidney disease. Obviously, do not consume any wild plant without being 100% certain of what it is.) Yellow Woodsorrel is commonly referred to as sour grass due to it’s tart, lemony flavor and is quite refreshing as an addition to soups or salads. I highly recommend thanking the fairies for their diligent care of this plant before plucking any if you wish to avoid being on the receiving end of one of their mischievous pranks – these fairies can be quite the little tricksters!

As with most fairies, however, if you treat them and the environment with reverence and respect the Fairies of the Yellow Woodsorrel can bring you blessings. They are wonderful friends to have – motivating cheerleaders that are perfect to work with on confidence and self esteem issues. Next time you come across a patch of Yellow Woodsorrel take a few moments to give thanks to the fairies who watch over this lovely little plant. Those who take the time to meditate in peace with these fairies will often find that solutions to their problems magically appear.
