Writing down your inner most thoughts and feelings is a wonderful tool to help you find inner peace. With journaling, you are free to express yourself without fear of judgement – from yourself or from others. This is your time to freely let your emotions and ideas flow from pen to paper. Because this activity is just for you, there is no need to strive for perfection or constantly edit yourself. Simply allow your pen to flow effortlessly. Later, you can look back and decide if there is anything there you wish to flesh out for the consumption of others. For now though, just write without worry or expectations about what will be expressed.
Writing about your feelings is a great way to work through difficult emotions. Often, you will find you feel much better about your situation after a long, cathartic journaling session. Journaling has a calming way of bringing clarity to any situation.
Personally, I’m a bit of a stationary junkie and always seem to have at least a couple journals going at all times. I keep a tarot journal, a dream journal, and a gratitude journal. I also have one for my totally random, off the wall ideas and musings. My journal collection is an eclectic mix of basic composition books, handcrafted books made of artisan paper, hard and softcover books of all variety and design. Basically, I never met a notebook I didn’t like!
Archangel Gabriel is the messenger angel and can help you in getting your message out. Whether you are writing for yourself in your private journal, or working on something for a larger audience, Archangel Gabriel can help get your pen moving and assist you in finding the right words effortlessly. All you need to do is ask for Gabriel’s help with a simple prayer such as, “Dear Archangel Gabriel, please help me with my writing today as I seek to speak my inner truth in order to share love, light, and blessings with the world. Thank you.”
Another way I like to connect with Archangel Gabriel before a journaling session is with a piece of Citrine. Citrine is a beautiful, golden, yellow-orange crystal that radiates the same golden light as Archangel Gabriel. I frequently hold a piece of Citrine in my left hand, and take a few long, deep breaths while asking Archangel Gabriel to help me freely express my emotions before I begin writing in my journal. This is also a great technique to help combat writers block when you are doing any sort of writing work.
