Mardi Gras inspired manicure

I used polishes from Starrily and Zoya to create this fun & colorful foil finish manicure inspired by Mardi Gras.

First I painted my nails with 2 coats of polish to get an even and opaque layer of color over my nails. I used Starrily’s Bellatrix on my thumb and index finger, Starrily’s Pegasus on my pointer and pinkie, and Zoya’s Ziv on my ring finger.

I applied a quick dry topcoat to my 3 middle nails and let dry completely. I used 2 pieces of striping tape on my ring finger to help keep my stripes straight and painted Bellatrix on one side and Pegasus on the other. On my middle finger, I used french tip guides as an outline for the curved line and filled in the middle with Ziv. I also used french tip guides to create a half-moon shape near my cuticle but I hated how that finger turned out so I had to remove all my polish on that finger and start over. I wound up repainting the index finger with Pegasus and using a dotting tool to place 4 dots of Ziv just above my cuticle.

I did a little cleanup and finished off all of my nails with a glossy topcoat. I love how bright and colorful this manicure is, and I am really digging the foil finish on these!
